The Existence of Buskers who was Disturbing society|| Final Test by Indri Indah
One of the social problems that exists in Indonesia is the increasing number of poor people in this country. This can be seen from the increasing number of beggars and buskers. One of the phenomena that often makes people disturbed is the presence of buskers. Buskers are social phenomena that cannot be avoided in people's lives. Some of the things that are behind this phenomenon are such as school dropouts, unemployment, poverty, lack of expertise or even because they really want to channel their singing talent by becoming a busker. In big cities and small towns it is not difficult to find a busker. Like the small town in West Java, Sukabumi. Buskers are still hanging around Sukabumi, the government has not yet fully resolved this problem. Of course this causes unrest for people who are not happy with the existence of a busker.
I am one of those who regularly use the "angkot" public transportation service. Where at this time the buskers often sing in public transportation. Of course this makes me and the other passengers feel the discomfort of a busker. Moreover, the appearance of a busker who often makes the passengers afraid Because dressed shabby or like a thug. In addition to appearances that make people scared, rumors about buskers who often cause trouble make people afraid. For example, in the case of last year, three buskers made a fuss for forcing people to pay money. From some of these cases, it was the people who felt that the presence of a busker was not safe.
I can understand why some people feel disturbed by the existence of a busker. The negative stigma of the community towards the existence of buskers has been going on for a long time. Many factors cause this to happen. These factors, among others, because most people consider this profession bad. The public assumes that all street buskers are uneducated and are familiar with the criminal black world, and many others. The factors above are only a handful of various reasons that arise in the community related to their negative responses to street buskers.
Seeing some problems due to the presence of buskers. This needs to be done right away. The government must act decisively to overcome this problem, if necessary throughout Indonesia must emulate the city of Purwakarta that is free of buskers. Quoted from the Kompasiana page that Purwakarta is a city that has implemented strong rules on buskers. The contents of the region's rules are for each buskers being sentenced to a 3-month of imprisonment and a fine of $50 million. Not only that, those who give money to the buskers will be sentenced to 3 months of imprisonment and $20 million fine. This regulation will run smoothly if the community participates in complying with this regulation. This regulation will greatly help to reduce buskers in Sukabumi and the surrounding area. In addition, there needs to be jobs for buskers. Therefore it is also necessary to have good guidance so that the buskers have expertise in the field that can be occupied later.
Responding to the existence of the buskers must be seen from two sides. The pattern of problem solving has to be done across layers of society. The government should also play a role in educating and guiding street buskers to become better individuals in the future. We are as a society must have a caring attitude towards the surroundings. And act wisely with fellow human beings.
