CRISIS OF FUNERAL AREA IN SUKABUMI CITY

The funeral is an area for burial a corpse. The existence of a funeral is important, when somebody passed away it will be buried in this area. The reason dead people are buried is to avoid stench from the corpse because the body of dead people will decompose. So, the prosses of burial is important for everybody who passed away and also the area of it. But, at this time the area of funeral comes to a head like in the urban areas. We can't belittle this problem, the needs of a funeral area like in Jakarta or another urban area is crucial because the amount of dead people per day in an urban area is much. For example in Jakarta at "TPU Menteng Pulo" with a large area about 38,3 hectare, it threatens with crisis because there is 100 corpse buried in everyday. In Jakarta itself, many people ask for grave overlap because the area is getting narrow. This problem happened not only in Jakarta but also in another city, such as "TPU DKI JAKARTA", "TPU SURABAYA". "TPU PALEMBANG", "TPU MEDA", "TPU BALIKPAPAN", "TPU MANADO". "TPU JAYAPURA". Besides those cities, the crisis of the funeral area also happened in Sukabumi city.

Sukabumi city got a problem with a shortage of funeral area. Based on the date, at this time the area of funeral in sukabumi is trace about 10% especially managed by government, these are Taman Bahagia at Kecamatan Warudoyong, TPU Taman Rohmat at Kecamatan Citamiang, TPU Kerkop at Gedong Panjang, TPU Cikundul, dan TPU Khusnul Khotimah at Ciandam, TPU Astana at Baros, TPU Tegalpari, TPU Binong, and the two in TPU at Kelurahan Subangjaya Cikole. From the tenth, eight is the Muslim area and two is a non-Muslim area. The burial area that got crisis particularly for the Muslim area and non-muslim is not. The area that almost full is "TPU" taman bahagia, binong, and cikole, the uses of the area of "TPU Taman Bahagia almost 90% and "TPU Binong also Cikole have fulled.

 In sukabumi city, the burial area needs to be expanded because from the exist of the land about 49 hectare almost full even unavailable and it will become a serious matter if the problem doesn't handle properly because the needs of it is crucial and the land doesn't exist anymore where the dead body be buried will. The government tries to solve this problem by buying a new area in Sukabumi regency, and it seems that can solve the problem because of the existence of the funeral area even more.  Besides the problem of land availability, there is another matter about taxi payment. Every single family needs to pay the amount of money about 100.000 per three years many families didn't pay for it. This time the government is doing a data collection of a family member of the corpse to know exactly who didn't pay the taxi and I think it's a good idea because the taxi is used for maintaining the funeral, so it will be batter.

This serious matter is responded seriously by the past mayor of sukabumi Muhammad Muraz and he has some solution to solve this problem. First, do overlap corpses in one hole, to my mind this is one the effective solution for the example when the corpse has close relationship it can do and easier cause it's still member of family, the family doesn't need to dig a new hole, so it will reduce opening a new area for a new death people. Second, the family member forbids to brick the grave, I agree with this because it will facilitate to disassemble the grave, according to the first point. And the last is cremation for non-Muslim, it's appropriate with their rule to treat the corpse I think.

  

To solve the crisis of funeral area we can do a few solution such as buying a new area of funeral in suburbs also sukabumi regency, doing overlap corpse in one hole so it can economize the area of grave, family member forbid to brick the grave because it will make difficult to disassemble the grave, in tune with the first solution, and the last do cremation for non-Muslim. All solutions can materialize with cooperation, at the moment we have to think about the area of funeral that we never think before because how important it is if the area unavailable anymore have we ever thought about that? The serious matter will happen, so to prevent that problem we need to act, it all for our future.
