CHAPTER II : THE Invisible Guardian by Sayu Asmarita

“It has been three days King Rudaya disappeared. We have not known his whereabout at all. Is he still alive or… No no no, it was impossible. The king could not have died” Said the queen in tears.

That was what the queen does every day since the king did not return from the war. She went on hunger and drink and did not even care about his son Prince Kiram.

At that time, prince Kiram who was 13 years old, and he was being combed by the royal baby sitter. In the silence, he asked her:

Kiram              : “Do you know my dad is whereabouts?”

Baby sitter       : “Mmmm… all I know after the war is done, the Majesty went on errands to

  faraway place”. (She was shocked for a moment, but she tried to reply it

   wisely)

Kiram              : When will he go home?

Baby sitter       : I am not sure, but I believe if he was done with the duty he would definitely

  go home.

Prince Kiram   : I also believe that. (he said confidently)

Baby sitter       : poor you kid, you lose your father at an early age (While staring at him, in

  the baby sitter heart muttered)

Baby sitter       : Ow it is done, now your hair is neat and look great. Do you want to take a

  walk to the garden? it’s a sunny day.

Prince Kiram   : Mmmm… Of course.

At the garden he water the plants and take care of his beloved deer. He looked like his father, liked gardening and raising animals. That’s why, there were many kinds of animals around the garden of the kingdom. Moreover he liked singing romantics song.

While Kiram was singing and stroking the deer, a number of guards ran to the palace. Kiram looked them weirdly. “What’s wrong?” He asked to the baby sitter. Then, she replied “I do not know my prince!”. By all means the baby sitter diverted his attention from the situation that had just happened.

In the hall, the guards were in the presence of Queen Saraswati. “I called you all here because I have something to convey. It’s urgent, but I think you can carry out this command”.

The Queen Saraswati ordered the guards to escort her to the Braga kingdom, the enemy of the war that occurred a few days ago, and she also ordered that this trip must be kept a secret, in sense only known by the queen and the guards.  Without waiting for long, they immediately rushed to prepare for the departure needs.

The conversation of the queen and the guards quite took a long time, so they did not realize that someone was listening to their conversation behind a large pillar of the hall.

Short of, they arrived at the Braga kingdom. All the plans went well until the queen met the king Adriana.

King Adriana              : Oh look! Who’s coming here? A beautiful woman, what brought you

  here? Don’t said that you want me to marry you. Hahahaha

Queen Saraswati         : Tell me where my husband is?

King Adriana              : What are you talking about? Are you kidding me? Why do you ask me?  

  You are his wife. You should know about it.

Queen Saraswati         : Shut up! Don’t make any excuses. Just tell me where you hid him? (she

shouted loudly while pointing the gun at him so that the guards aimed   

 their weapons at her)

Queen Saraswati         : Talk or I’ll kill you by my hands. (the wooden bag she used actually it is

  not ordinary, the wooden bag will turn into an arrow gun)

Queen Adriana            : Ow ow ow… You were accusing me and now you threatened me?

  Fortunately, you are a woman, otherwise I will not do you good.

The efforts that made by the queen are in vain. She did not get any information about the king. She returned home empty-handed.

At the room of Prince Kiram

“It doesn’t feel like my father has been gone for a week. Now, I know why he hasn’t come home yet. He was not running errands. She lied to me”.

Kiram layed down on the bed while he was staring the ceiling. He always think about his father. However, Kiram is the only child King Rudaya loves. After tired of thinking about his father, he

suddenly fall asleep.

At the forbidden forest

the king was lost in the forest when he was about to hide from the attack.

The King Rudaya is in pain and staggered at the forest and then he fall to the ground. “Arghhhh… I could not survive anymore. Soon I will surely die here, and nobody know about”

Kiram suddenly woke up from his nightmare while screaming “Father”. Instantly his heart pounded very fast after he dreamed it. His feeling and thought drifted, he was wondering. Why was the dream feel so real? Is the king passed away? Where is it?

Sad, confused, and creepy, that’s how he felt at that time.
