Comparison/Contrast Essay Sayu

Now, we live in modern era or we also call it as millennial era, where technology has develoved rapidly. The technological develompments occur throughout the country, and Sukabumi is no exception. The evidence of that statement can bee seen in terms of environmet and the society of Sukabumi now. Let’s look around the environment, Sukabumi has a lot of skyscrapers with the modern infrastructure. How about the society? Now, Sukabumi is filled with people who racing to get jobs with high salaries and nice position. It makes me curious about the environment and the society of Sukabumi in the past, does Sukabumi has the same face? After I analyzed it, there are several the differences and the similarities of the environment and the society of Sukabumi in the past and now.

First, in terms of the environment. The environment  I mean precisely is a condition of the popular buildings in Sukabumi, say Mesjid Agung, R. Syamsudin SH Hospital, and many more. In 1940, Mesjid Agung and Syamsudin SH hospital were built very simply, not designed luxuriously. It shown by the use of a fence made from wood/bamboo and the materials to built the building most are made of wood. At that time, there was still many trees beside the road, so it looked green, fresh, and more pleasant. Of course, no many people used motorbike, car or something else that produced air pollution. It is really different with the reality in 2019. Now, almost all of the buildings in Sukabumi has a modern design, plush with the best material. However pollution everywhere, and a row of green land has changed into high buildings, shopping mall and tourism.

Although Sukabumi has got many changes, there are still some similarities of Sukabumi in the past and today. The similarities are Sukabumi is a comfort place to live, because it still have fresh air and the temperature is not too cold.

The second, in terms of the society. Because of the development of technology, the people of Sukabumi have to balance their social life or life style. Based on data I got, said that a half of people in Sukabumi are farmer and breeder in the past. But, now they prefer to work in an office, starting a business, and many more.

The similarities of the society in the past and now are ; the people mostly kind, there are still some farmer or breeder and still uphoalds mutual cooperation.

In conclusion, I think either Sukabumi in the past or today, it will remain a historic place for me, and be the most comfortable place ever. I hope Sukabumui will become a better place in the future, and to be a famous city by kindness and achievements.
